RFD900A Pix Modem Ultra Long Range 40 Km Radio Telemetry Kit For RC Drones Compatible With APM Pixhawk
Main features:
Rfd. is a wireless data transmission module with a small footprint and excellent performance. Main features:
- Regardless of the radio design, each module is integrated with a USB serial port chip and the USB and UART interfaces switch automatically. USB takes priority.
- Operating frequency range: 902-928 MHz, ISM band.
- The transmitter circuit is designed with a low noise amplifier greater than 20dB and a low-pass filter unit is added.
- Adjustable transmit power, maximum 1W transmit power.
- The high-sensitivity LNA and saw circuits are located in front of the receiver circuit.
- The external communication distance can be up to 40 km or more (depending on antenna performance and communication speed requirements).
- The air data rate can be up to 250 kbps.
- Dual antenna interface supporting antenna diversity and different antenna configurations.
- Dual antenna interface supporting antenna diversity and different antenna configurations.
- The module has a temperature monitoring function and automatically adjusts the duty cycle according to the temperature to prevent overheating.
- Operating temperature: -40 to +85℃.
- Size: 33mm*53mm*9.5mm. Weight: 23g.
- Long range capabilities have been demonstrated in edge research labs on balloon (>40km*80km), 57km in India, with dipole antennas.
- 2 x RP-SMA RF connector, diversity modified.
- 1 Watt (+30dBm) transmission power.
- Transmission low-pass filter.
- >20dB low noise amplifier, high IP3.
- RX saw filter
- All I/Os are ESD protected and filtered.
- Reimplemented SiK and multi-SiK software is easy to field update and configure.
- Compatible with 3DR / Hope-RF radio modules.
Interfaces
- RF: 2 x RP-SMA connectors.
- Serial: TTL logic level (+3.3v).
- Power: +5v, ~max peak (at maximum transmit power).
- GPIO: 6 general purpose IOs (digital, ADC, PWM capable).
Software/GCS Support
- The software solution is an open source development called "SiK", adapted for the new processor architecture. A bootloader and interface for additional enhancements and field updates are available via serial port.
- Most parameters can be configured with AT commands, e.g. baud rate (air/UART), frequency band, power levels.
- Integrated support for configuring RFD900 radios is supported by APM Planner.
- Default settings are 57600 baud, N, 8, 1 and 64k air data rate.
